FFF – Use Pencils to Color

June 13, 2014

Happy Friday everyone!  Kristina here with another FFF to play along with.

Before we get to today’s new challenge, let’s see who our random winner is from last week’s “Black and White with a Pop of color” Challenge….

CONGRATULATIONS!! Please email Jessica at yeahshesnaps@icloud.com to claim your prize.
So on to this week’s challenge, and the theme is one that is gaining popularity at the moment…
“Color with Pencils!”
When I first started card making about 20 years ago, all we had really was coloured pencils. I used to do a lot of watercolour with pencils. But now I have been lucky enough to have the big tin of Prismacolor pencils, I am starting to practice and refine my coloured pencil technique.
Let’s take a look at what fabulous creations the DT came up with!
First up is Chitra. I love how she has combined a small image from “Dollie with Ice cream“, with some patterned paper.

Next a card from Lysa, using one of the images from Miss Anya – Summer

Marcy’s card uses the super cute Wild Child image. She has also used watercolour pencils for her card.

Next up is this amazing card by Jodi, using one of my fave stamps – Guitar Ian. Jodi has done a great job of the no line coloring technique with pencils.

For my card I have also used one of the new Miss Anya Summer images.

Hope you’ll join us and share your creations! Of course there are just a few simple guidelines to play along with us:

  • You must use a TGF stamp (rubber, digi, or clear) as your main image.
  • Entries must be uploaded via InLinkz (below) no later than June 19th at NOON CST. You can add a direct link to your entry from your personal blog, SCS gallery, Flickr or TGF galleria. (If the InLinkz tool is missing, feel free to link your submission URL in the comment section.)
  • The fabulous prize: A random participant will be selected to win their choice of an in-stock SINGLE RUBBER STAMP (excluding SSC and/or exclusive release stamps) OR a 4×6 set!

Please be sure to enter new creations only.

Have a fabulous weekend!

Kristina xx

  • Hi there! I could have sworn I’ve been to this site before but after browsing through some of the post I
realized it’s new to me. Nonetheless, I’m definitely delighted I found it and I’ll
be book-marking and checking back frequently!

  • Hi again!!!

Participate in this FFF 🙂 Every time I participate in a new FFF, I attempt to improve the paint of the stamps. I still have much to learn about paint the stamps 🙂

Fingers crossed to see if I get lucky on one of them and I am the winner because it would make me really happy to get my first prize!

    Thanks so much! <3
