Darling Dollies

March 12, 2015

Happy Thursday farmers! Krys here and today I’m sharing a project with you guys that has taken a few tries to master but is definitely a fun and different way to use some of your favorite TGF stamps. My project today is a set of coasters using the Hello Dollie line from TGF:

For this set I stamped Dollie with Cupcake, Dollie with Hearts, and Dollie with Kitty in timber brown stazon and colored them with prismacolor colored pencils. I usually use copics but this way I didn’t have to worry about the stazon ink ruining my copic marker nibs. Also the colors show up much more vibrantly. The tiles run about $4 for a pack of 9 at my local hardware store so I always keep a few in my stash. Right now I’m waiting for my last Dollie stamp to come in the mail so I can finallty complete my set of four. Want to know which Dollie I chose? It’s a secret! Keep an eye on my blog to find out which one I use! Don’t forget there’s a new FFF challenge that starts tomorrow so be sure to stop by and see the winner for last week’s challenge and join in on the fun this week! See you there,

-Krys

  • These are darling!!!! I’ve made coasters before but haven’t tried using colored pencils – thanks for the tip! I think I’m going to make some with my Inktense pencils now!

  • How did you seal these so moisture/heat doesn’t affect the coloured pencils? They turned out so beautiful!

  • They are adorable.. Nicky x
