Cutting Digital Images with The Sizzix eClips Machine and eCal Program
Hey friends! Our friend Jen Young was so kind enough to do a video using her eClips and eCal Program. And if you’re anything like me, I had no clue what that was…lol! Here’s a little info from Jen about it:
“The Sizzix eClips machine is a product of Sizzix. It is very easy to use. This newest version of their cutting machine is now completely cartridge-free. The included software, eCal lite, is a version of Sure Cuts a Lot. With this program, you can cut any SVG files sold or found free online. The program is super easy to use, also allowing the ability to take an image and blackout the image, creating a blackout layer, so that you are able to cut around the image you’ve brought in.
To me, the Sizzix eClips is more comparison to the Silhouette than the Cricut. When eClips used cartridges then they were on Cricuts level, but breaking free from that they jumped up to Silhouettes level. “
Apparently, Cricut has a very strict rule about using anything other than their Design Studio. Therefore, you cannot cut any other format on the Cricut. There may be other ways around it and if you know how (legally), please contact Claudie (islandergirl@gmail.com).
