Guest Designer Bobbi with a Pop-Up Craft Studio

Hello, again! It’s Bobbi Lemanski here, your guest designer this month with another card to share. Today, my 5” X 7” pop-up, craft studio card features The Greeting Farm’s Frappe-Anya F/B  and You stamp sets. For digis, I used the Build-A-Craft Room (for the back wall and desk), Desktop (for the desk chair) and the Build-A-Livingroom (for the plant).

To create this card, I designed the interior back wall scene using components from the Build-A-Craft Room Digi set. I colored the wall and scene elements in bright colors to match Anya’s bold personality. 😊 I hand drew and colored the wood plank floor. Both the wall and floor were attached to the inside of the card base and a phrase from the You stamp set was stamped in the lower left corner. Anya, the desk, chair, and plant were fussy cut and the hand drawn rug was punched out using an oval scallop punch.

An additional 1” wide X 5” long strip of white cardstock was colored to match the wood floor. The strip was cut into four ¼” wide strips to support the desk, plant and Anya. Supports in the following sizes were scored and glued together to form four boxes:

• Desk: Two box supports measuring ½” tall X 1-½” wide (score two strips at ½”, 2”, 2-½” and 4”)
• Anya and Plant: Two box supports measuring ½” tall X 1” wide (score two strips at ½”, 1-½”, 2” and 3”)

I attached the box supports to the bottom edge of the standing objects and glued in place over the back wall and wood floor (as shown in this photo with a view from the top.) The plant support was glued to the desk and wood floor. The rug was slipped in under the desk and adhered in place on the floor.

For the card front, I kept it simple, allowing the inside to shine. I used black and white pattern paper (resembling the pegboard in the studio) with color block accents down the right side to match the inside. A stamped outline of Anya with her frappes were added to the front as well as the “Hello You” phrase from the You stamp set.

The phrase and one frappe were popped up using dimensional foam tabs. Enamel dots were also added for accent as well as a faux white stitching line to complete the card.

This 5” X 7” card folds down and fits nicely in an A7 envelope for mailing. Would you enjoy crafting in Anya’s craft studio? I think I would like a friend bold enough to wear pink hair and boots! 😊
