Happy 4th with Davina

Hello Crafty friends! Tomorrow is the Fourth of July and I have a huge patriotic card I made using one of the cuties from the recent Anya Combo Big Kit #3. This sweet faced girl with the hot dog was perfect for my USA themed card.

I wanted to make a flag out of colored cardstock with glittery stars, but didn’t want the entire background to be a flag, so I used a large heart die, to remove the center of my white card base. I used my paper trimmer to cut several 3/8 inch strips from red and white paper and adhered them to a piece of scrap paper making sure to really get them snugly together. Then I adhered a blue square on top that I filled with glittery white stars. I centered the flag under my heart, and used foam tape for dimension. 

I backed my white panel with a layer of blue cardstock and festive patterned paper, then added a banner up top, that stamped with navy ink. After securing Anya into place, I filled the remaining space with die cut fireworks and a firecracker. 

I love how this Americana theme turned out and just how versatile the recent Big Kit images are. Thank you so much for dropping by, Davina
