Happy Halloween with Davina
Hello crafty friends! Davina here to share some shaker card fun with some more Pink Halloween cuties. Halloween cards are my favorite cards to make all year long, and i even like making then at Valentine’s Day and call them Valloween cards. I’ve been on a “Pink Halloween” kick for about 3 years now and it just doesn’t get boring. Today I have a bubbling cauldron full of sequins and two potion brewing sweethearts, from the Spellbinding Big Kit, to share with you.
I built a cauldron shaker from some dies in my stash, but instead of acetate I used orange mesh fabric, sandwiched between scor tape and not thick foam strips. I love the texture it adds, and it keeps the bulk down when I want to add images overlapping. I also love that it is easy to photograph and doesn’t make all of the glaring light reflections. After stamping and coloring two witches from the Spellbinding Big Kit, along with some potions and stars, I cut out the images using my scan n cut.
This is a larger card, about 5 x 6.5, so I had plenty of space to layer some pretty patterned papers and even add a large vellum steam cloud coming out of the cauldron. I adhered my little witches using foam tape and surrounded them with some stars and a moon, before finishing it off with a banner sentiment across the top. The final touches are hard to see in these pictures, but I added some glittery Wink of Stella to many of the details and images.
Thank you for stopping by, Davina

Sooooo cute – I stink at shaker cards, they never stay put together right! This is awesome!
