Have fun with Miss Anya All Year

Hello fellow Farmers!

Amy here and can you believe it is August already? For some that means a last chance to squeeze in a summer vacation and for others it can be the month they find themselves heading off to college and grand new adventures of the academic sort. That's why I thought this cutie from the new Miss Anya All Year kit was the perfect girl to represent August. She is all packed up and ready for travel. Whether it is for a fun escape or starting school in a new state, that remains to be seen.     

I paired this Miss Anya All Year with the SUV Trunk digi set because it was the perfect way to help set the scene of her being dropped off at the airport. I also masked the plane tickets from the All Year kit into her upraised hand to reinforce the travel theme of this card.   

By placing the car slightly higher on the card I was able to create the illusion that it is parked behind her and by playing with different grey tones I could make it look like she was up on the sidewalk while the car is a step lower on the asphalt. This does much of the work for me, as far as the background goes. For the rest of the scene I pretty much stuck with simple rectangle shapes to create the impression of windows behind her and buildings off in the distance. Certainly nothing super detailed or intricate was needed since our Miss Anya is the real star of the show.  :)
