Hello Neighbor with Davina

Hello crafty friends! Davina here today, to share a happy slimline card. I really want to ink up so many of my older The Greeting Farm stamps that I’ve been collecting. So, as i was flipping through my stash i came across this adorable Minkie Neighbor set that was calling my name.

I wanted to use all 4 window images and thought a portrait style slimline would be best, so I decided to make an apartment type building. I started by stamping and coloring all 4 windows and some of the accent images. Then i colored them up with COPIC markers and cut them out using my scan n cut. I stenciled a red and pink brick pattern onto the slimline panel, then splattered with several inks. Then, I cut a grassy hillside for my base and for the sentiment to be applied to. Next, I cut several scalloped strips to layer as shingles for the rooftop. I adhered those together with an overlapping pattern and glued them to the top with foam tape.

I arranged the windows in the center and added the little accessory images before using foam tape to secure the grassy hillside to the bottom. I had gently inked the bottom portion of my die cut “hello” and painted on some glittery Wink of Stella ink to the inked portion. Finally, I layered some sparkly striped paper as a background to finish it off. I struggled with wanting to add more sequins but decided to leave it as is. I may go back and apply some bling in the future, haha.

Thank you for stopping by, Davina
