How's It Growing? with Guest Designer Samantha Pfrimmer!

Hi everyone, Samantha Pfrimmer from @sammakescards here, and I am so excited to be the May guest designer for one of my favorite brands, The Greeting Farm! For my first card this month, I created a fairly elaborate scene by mashing up both digi and clear stamp sets, along with a greenhouse die from my stash.

Listed below are all of the TGF products I used. The clear stamp sets are not currently available in the shop, but they can always be requested for a future Farmer’s Market using the Contact page on the store site.

• Anya Reboot 2 Big Kit
• Cat Mom Anya
• Miss Anya Pretty Day
• Petal Princesses Big Kit
Build-a-Livingroom Digi Set

To start, I used the plant and shelf digi stamps from the Build-a-Livingroom set to create a background for my greenhouse. I printed my scene on Copic-friendly paper, as well as on copy paper, which I fussy cut and used as masks. I masked the images in my scene and ink-blended the background using Distress Oxide Antique Linen for the ground and Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina for the walls. I also cut a panel of white cardstock to a unique size of 4.5” by 5.75” and matched the ground and background ink-blending.

Next, I stamped the adorable Anya in her flower hat from the Anya Reboot 2 Big Kit, followed by the cat image from Cat Mom Anya, and the basket of flowers from Miss Anya Pretty Day. I then removed my masks from the greenhouse background and colored both my digi and stamped images using Copic markers.

Once everything was colored, I fussy cut my stamped images and die cut the greenhouse and leaves using the April My Monthly Hero Greenhouse Dies from Hero Arts. I assembled my scene as shown, using foam tape to pop up the stamped images, and then finished everything off with a sentiment from the Petal Princesses Big Kit before adhering it to a white folding card base measuring 6” x 4.75” when folded.

I absolutely love how this card turned out, and I’m happy to report it fits into an A7-sized envelope. I hope you like it too!

Thanks for reading!
Samantha
