Paw-Tay!

Hey Farmers! Can you believe school has resumed, and we are right around the corner from the Autumn season?! With that in mind, I sat down to create a back-to-school design for today's make. And what happened was, well, not that, but this pup paw-tay card!


I mean, even though everyone is all about back-to-school, some pup somewhere is celebrating a birthday, right?! For this design I've used the stellar Birthday Dogs stamp set. 

For me, coloring animals in the no-line technique is a good time to practice skill development. And this paw-fect paw-tay is no different. Not only are the pups of different body types and color combos required (Frenchie, Dachshund, Scottie, and Clifford the Big Red Dog), but they are all in different positions. 

It's easiest for me, when I am coloring a design that needs a lot of different color combos, to make sure I repeat colors somewhere. Because by nature, I don't use a lot of colors (I know, hard to believe). So here, I made sure to repeat the red on a collar and the paw-tay hat, the green is repeated in a bandana, flag, and paw-tay hat, etc.
