Purrfectly Yours by Guest Designer Samantha!
Hi everyone, it has been such a wonderful experience being the May Guest Designer for The Greeting Farm! Today I’m sharing my final project, which features stamps from the adorable Cat Mom Anya Stamp Set. (The set is not currently available in the shop, but it can always be requested for a future Farmer’s Market through the Contact page on the store website.)
This stamp set was especially meaningful to me because I have always been a cat mom, and I recently lost a much-loved pet of 16 years. This card is dedicated to my sweet cat, Arlo.
To start my project, I first stamped all of my images onto masking paper before cutting out the masks. I’m a big fan of creating one-layer cards, and starting with masks helps me plan and arrange my scene before stamping. Once I had my scene laid out, I stamped the images onto alcohol marker-friendly paper (I’m a big fan of OLO Blending Cardstock). I also used a wood floor stamp from my stash to complete the scene.
Next, I ink-blended a soft blue wallpaper background using Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks, before removing the masks and coloring the images with Copic markers. I added a few polka dots with a white acrylic marker before stamping the “Purrfectly Yours” sentiment onto the panel. To finish the card, I used a Piercing Frame Die from Waffle Flower to add detail around the edge of the panel before adhering everything to a folding A2 card base.
My sweet kitty card is complete, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!
