Spellbinding with Davina
Hello crafty friends! Davina here with some cute and spooky Halloween inspiration. As summer is coming to an end and school is back in session, I am desperate for some fall weather and fun spooky season. Halloween is my favorite theme for crafting and card making. And it’s never too early, in my opinion, to create and enjoy all the fun that can be had making fall projects.
The little shadow box I’m sharing today if full of all of my favorite things. Cute spooky magic themed stamps…check. Little box card design….check. Pink and glitter…check!!! Nothing can make me happier.
I started by stamping and coloring several images from the Spellbinding Big Kit set from The Greeting Farm. This set is several years old, but I pull it out several times a year as there are just so many fantastic illustrations. I colored everything soft and pretty with a very limited color palette before adding a few highlights, and cutting out with my stamp and cut.
Using a die set that is available from my personal line of products, I built this small diorama style box card, and filled it with magic. After assembling the box, I added a soft patterned paper background, then adhered my cutie witch and a glittery moon into the middle window portion. Then I arranged the other images around the frame and stamped one of the sentiments onto the wavy banner. I finished the decorating up by adding a scattering of glittery star sequins. I could make a hundred more of these little box cards and still not tire of them.
I hope you love this little spellcaster and that you are inspired to get out some fall themed Anyas’ and get crafting! Thank you for stopping by, Davina
