Tip Me Tuesday: Decompress with Coloring Books
Happy Tuesday friends, and Happy August to you as well. It's Joni here with this month's Tip Me Tuesday, and today's little tip is one I recently dove into. Last month, my daughters and I flew back home to Hawaii to surprise my mom for her 90th birthday. I knew the flights were going to be long, so I decided to grab my TGF Press Cozy Crew Fun Moments coloring book:
Not only did it pass the time on the flight, but I'm still having so much fun challenging myself with different techniques! My first few images were done with pencils, as I didn't want to have the light scent of markers wafting through the airplane. However, once I got back home, I focused on trending styles that were suggested through a Facebook coloring page, and used markers, pencils, and white gelly roll pens for highlights. I've included these pages in today's post.
(Please note that I am not an expert, by any means.Pushing myself beyond card making was such a neat experience! Also, taking photos of coloring pages while still in the book is a little tricky. haha!)

I also have a second tip for today's TMT: you do not need high quality markers! Save your brand name markers and pick up an inexpensive set from the store. Just be sure that they are indeed alcohol markers and, preferably, dual tipped for blending. Be sure to place a paper or cardboard in between pages, as it will likely bleed through.
This has been such a stress reliever and a great way for me to stay off any electronics. You can find TGF Coloring Books here at the shop, or if you want a trial version, you can find the printable pages here.
Have a great day, friends! Thank you for stopping by.
