Tip Me Tuesday: Faux Sticker Effect
Happy Tuesday, friends! If you're new to the Farm, Tip Me Tuesday is a little feature where I scour the internet for ideas or color combos that would be so much fun with The Greeting Farm images. After trying it out myself (too many times to count), I look forward to sharing it here with you all.
A while back, I came across the faux sticker effect when I joined the coloring book community. I was floored when I first saw it done! After purchasing my first book from TGF Press, I couldn't wait to get into my craft room and try it.
Here was my first attempt with it from a page in Cozy Crew Fun Moments:

For coloring books, you whiten a silhouette around the image, then re-draw the lines with a black pen. This makes the image look like it's floating. It reminded me of my younger years when I collected actual stickers. Some would come with laminated background cards,so you could create a little scene, then put them back on their storage sheets. I might be the only one who remembers that!
I gave it a go again, except with a card for this month's Facebook autumn challenge, using Felix the Fox:
The process is super easy: First, stamp the images, then color them up as usual. Next, cut the images out on a wider silhouette - no need for perfection, nor any fussy cutting! Add them in layers onto a patterned background, popping some up on 3D squares for dimension:
And there you have it! As I was looking through my collection, I realized that you can do this with any TGF image to create a fun card. Marie's lines are so user friendly to cut around, and mixing up stamp sets would open up a whole new world of possibilities. Let me know if you've done this with any of TGF's coloring books - I love admiring crafters' works!
Have a great day, everyone, thank you so much for coming by. Happy crafting to you!
