Tip Me Tuesday: Mess Free Glitter
Happy beautiful Tuesday, friends! Thank you for swinging by to see today's post, it's a little segment that I do every other month called Tip Me Tuesday. My goal is to find techniques or color combinations to try (or at least, attempt!) on TGF images. Some of these may be familiar to you, so please feel free to message me if there's any skill you'd like to be featured on!
I was recently recommended a fun group on Facebook, so I browsed through their posts to see what it was all about. All I can say is WOW! I was so blown away with what people are doing with coloring books! One of the tutorials was for a glittery look without having to dust off your stickles. While I have full intentions on starting up my TGF coloring book, I decided to use one of the images (2nd Princess on the left) from the Petal Princesses Kit:
First, start off with your lightest color.
I chose YG11 Copic for her dress (photos were taken in my window-less craft room, my apologies!):
Next, dot a slightly darker color all over the base.
I chose YG09:
Repeat the same technique with a darker color.
I chose YG17:
At first I wasn't sure if I could trust the process. But then I added white dots and random little Xs with a white Inkssential pen (any white gel pen will do!):
I decided to take a break and color up the rest of the image to see if it made more sense. And I think it did! Here is the final look:
After touching up a couple of spaces, drawing sparkly lines in a few spots, then adding shadows with a grey W2 Copic, here is what it looks like up close:
Let me know if you try this tutorial, I had so much fun with my attempt and will more than likely be doing more of this. Thank you so much for coming by today, have a wonderful rest of your week!

The dress has a little sparkle in it, what pen was used for that?

Thanks for sharing this faux technique—I will have to try this.
