TIp Me Tuesday: Open Windows

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you had a nice weekend and that your week is off to a great start. It's TMT time, aka Tip Me Tuesday for all of our new friends here on the Farm. It's a little segment where I scour the wonderful crafting community for inspiration and new ideas. Today's tip is to open those windows on your image, and let the background show through:

For my sample, I put the adorable Ian from Coffee Couple on the streets of NYC. I stamped the buildings from Anya In New York several times to create a city scape. Finally, I added the taxi from that same set, but used my craft knife to carefully (although a bit tricky) carve out the windows. By placing the taxi in front of one of the buildings, the windows appear as if they are open, thus adding a little bit of depth to the card.
