Tip Me Tuesday: Shed Your Wings

Happy Tip Me Tuesday, everyone! And welcome to a new month of TGF ideas, stamps, and inspiration. School is supposed to start up tomorrow here in our state, but with a pending Tropical Storm headed our way, we may be delayed until next week. Nevertheless, back to school means that there's a new season just around the corner.

For today's TMT post, I took the adorable Fairy BDay Anya and removed her little wings for an autumnal card:

As a reminder, here she is in all her glory:

The first thing I did to make it a bit easier to alter, was to stamp her in light pink ink. I find that it's the perfect color to do a no-line technique, and very forgiving when you need a little help remembering the details of the image.

Next, I changed her flower crown into a headband of leaves by coloring them individually, then carefully cut her out without wings. (For an alternate technique, you could mask her wings off as well.)

I love that the little stamps in this set can be used for spring, summer, or autumn, so I chose a simple leaf for her to hold, and added a simple sentiment to complete my card.
