Trick or Treat from our Guest Designer Andrea Shell!
Hello there! This is Andrea Shell with you, and I'm delighted to be guest-designing for The Greeting Farm this month! With Halloween fast approaching (and as it's my favorite holiday to create for), I couldn't resist inking up the adorable Trick or Treat 2 stamp set.
Aren't those kiddos adorable?! Naturally, I had to include Wonder Woman because she is probably my favorite super hero of all time! I colored those cutie pies with Copics, added white details with a gel pen, and cut them out with my ScanNCut.
I wanted to give these trick-or-treaters a spooky background, so I first created a mask with a circle die. After placing the mask onto my paper, I blended with the following colors of distress ink: Milled Lavender, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion, and Black Soot. I removed the mask and stenciled in some clouds using Whimsy Stamps' It's Cloudy Stencil. Next, I stamped the grass with Whimsy's Wild Flower Grass stamp and trees with their Seasonal Trees set. To finish off the background, I added splatters of white paint.
Once my background was dry, I adhered it to a white card and popped up my colored images with foam squares. For my sentiment I used Reverse Confetti's Trick or Treat Confetti Cuts. I diecut it from black and glitter cardstocks, offset the two layers, and popped it up with foam tape.
Thanks for stopping by!
Andrea
