You’re My Hero – Watercoloring with Little Heroes
Hi TGF Fans! Are you guys loving this Little Heroes set as much as I am?! Since I turned one of the little characters into Flash last month, I knew I had to turn another one into Super Girl. We love to watch Flash and Super Girl here. No judging! I’ve got a little nerd in me…a lot if you ask my hubby. I am a sucker for any super hero movie but don’t ask me to tell you who is DC and who is Marvel. haha I pulled out my Daniel Smith Watercolors for this card and started with the background after I had stamped my image in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I was going for a galactic background for my Super Girl so I used Lunar Blue, Kyanite Genuine and Moonglow. When you look at the close up below you can see some of my favorite qualities with Daniel Smith Watercolors…the natural mineral shimmers! Swoon. Once that was dry, I added the stars using my UniBall White Gel Pen.
My new go to palette for watercolor skin tones is the Jane Davenport neutrals. This is a must have in my opinion if you like watercoloring people stamps like I do. Then for her hair and clothes I went back to my Daniel Smith Watercolors using New Gamboge and Nickel Azo Yellow for her hair, Quinacridone Fuchsia for her cape, skirt and boots and then Pthalo Blue (RS) for her shirt. Ooooh, almost forgot, I used Potter’s Pink and Rhodinte Genuine for her cheeks. All in all I love how this card turned out! I think watercolors are SO fun to use with our stamps.
Thanks for stopping by today!
