Your Wings Mixed Media Art Journal Page

Hi TGF Fans! Carisa with you today and I want to share a page in my art journal with you today using the super cute Your Wings clear stamp set. This is a smaller 5×7 handmade art journal that I created using watercolor paper. It’s the perfect size for all my favorite The Greeting Farm images and who doesn’t love to put some magical creatures in their art journal?! I know I do! I started by laying down a thin coat of gesso over my paper. Then I took out some of my favorite paint colors and added it to my page with a paint card (essentially an old debit/credit/gift card will do for this, too). I added a text stamp in Hickory Smoke Archival Ink and then using a cloud stencil because I wanted my cute little pegasus to be flying in the clouds I added a bit of texture using Prima Art Extravagance Snowflake paste to my page. 

While my texture paste was drying, I stamped my image onto Copic Xpress It Blending Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored very simply with Copic Markers. I used a Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter pen to add some sparkle to her mane and wings. Then I fussy cut her out (but there are matching dies available if you want to skip that step) and used foam adhesive to pop her up on my background. Then I stamped the sentiment in Tsukineko Versafine Onyx Black ink.
