Fun Charm for a Beautiful Sunday
Hey Ya'll! This is a bit different than my normal Bible Journaling post, but it's a great reminder of Whose you are. Today I want to show you how to make your own charms using Shrinky Dink material and a stamp set. I choose the Glory to God faith stamp set from The Greeting Farm for this activity today.
I used Stazon black ink and stamped the image I wanted onto the Shrinky Dink material. I then used Acrylic ink to color in my stamped image. You can use different mediums, but be aware the directions do state to not use crayons or watercolor markers.
Once my stamped images were colored in and dry, I cut them out with scissors and punched a hole in the top of the main image I wanted to be the piece in my charm. I placed them on parchment paper, laid them on a cookie sheet, and placed them in a preheated oven at 325 degrees.
Mine took a bit longer than the recommended three minutes to shrink and flatten out....To be completely honest, I laid another sheet of parchment paper on top and flattened them fully with a Bible once I pulled them out of the oven. :-)
Once they were cooled, I glued the little Icthus fish on the angel with the E6000 glue.
I then added two O rings and a lobster clasp ...... Waaalaaa... a cute little DIY charm for your notebook or whatever you choose. I love looking at this little angel on my Traveler's Notebook and being reminded that I am His.
