Holiday Cheers from Guest Designer Bri Firth!
Hi friends – Bri Firth here again! I have really enjoyed being the Guest Designer for November 2022. My last project features the Holiday Anya 8 set. Keep reading below for more details on how I created this winter-themed card.
For the background, I used a tree stencil with Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, and Pine Needles Distress Oxide inks to create a rustic pattern. I also used the Mowed Lawn to distress the edges of the front panel.
Next, I used silver metallic paint to ink splatter the front panel to coordinate with Anya’s elegant dress. Once the panel dried, I used liquid adhesive to adhere it to the silver foil and dark green cardstock layers creating an A2 card front.
Anya was colored with Copic markers. I used white gel pen to add sparkle detail to her dress and jewelry to make her outfit even more elegant.
Copic markers:
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000, RV11
Hair: E59, E57, E55, E53, E51, E50
Green: G28, G24, G21, G20
Silver: C5, C3, C1
Off-White: W3, W1, W00
The “cheers!” sentiment is heat embossed with silver embossing powder onto a sentiment strip die cut. The strip is 3/4 inch wide and roughly 2 ½ inches long.
I used foam tape to attach the sentiment strip and Anya to the front of the card in the lower right-hand corner. To finish the card, I added green enamel dots for embellishment.
Hope my creation inspires you today!
