Tip Me Tuesday: Silhouette Technique
Hello everyone and welcome to Tip Me Tuesday! I hope you all enjoyed the recap of June's new sets with the Stamp Features. There are so many fun images this month (isn't there always though?) that my mind kept spinning on fun techniques to try out. Today's TMT not only took me out of my comfort zone, but had me second guessing my intentions until actually posting this.

If you follow Sandy Allnock on Instagram, then you may have seen her latest cards made with silhouettes. Of course she makes it look soooo easy, but more importantly she gave me the courage to try it myself. I thought what better stamps to use than Hello Bestie:

With a little help from my 15 year old, I recreated a night scene from Animal Crossing. First I started off with just a textured piece of blue card stock, then I stamped in the characters, shrubs, and trees (from TGF's Main Street set). With just a Copic 100, I colored everything in; it took three attempts to get them completely shaded, then built the scene around it.
My moon was a die cut circle since the card stock was too dark for my white pen. Once I was happy with the layering, I added little highlights and shading to give the card more depth. There's a bit more shimmer to the moon and the sky from my Spectrum Noir sparkle pens that the photo didn't capture well.
Finally, I added a die cut sentiment that actually pops out a bit more from the landscape than it shows.I cannot explain how skeptical I was trying this technique but I guess you can kind of teach an old dog new tricks! teehee! I hope you try this TMT, I would really love to see it.
Thank you for stopping by today, have a wonderful day, friends!

I like how you created this night scene.
